Under the contract, Canadian Solar will supply a total of 83,000 pieces of custom specific CS6X-P solar modules in a 7 x 12 cell matrix with dual UL and IEC 1000V certification.

Prior to Catalina Solar 2 project, EDP developed the 143.2MWp Catalina solar project in California’s Mojave Desert.
It was constructed on 1,100 acres of land in two phases with the first 60MWp phase starting operations at the end of 2012 and the remaining in August 2013.
San Diego Gas & Electric Company has agreed to buy the energy generated from the project under a 25-year power purchase agreement.
