The electric grid is being operated by the Midwest Independent System Operator (MISO).

The plant is being built on a 60 acre tract owned by ETEC at the intersection of C.R. 1020 and C.R. 1030, west of US Highway 287, about 2.5 miles southwest of Woodville.

Located in Tyler County, the Woodville renewable power project is fueled by chipped, un-merchantable timber processed within a mile of the site.

The project will feature one biomass-fired stoker boiler and steam turbine-generator and associated plant equipment including art air quality control systems (AQCS).

The AQCS features Riley’s patented Multi-Pollutant Catalytic Reactor (MPCR) for low NOx, CO and VOC emissions control.

Construction of the plant started in May 2012 with commercial operations expected later in 2014.

Gemma Plant Operations, a subsidiary of GPS, will operate the facility under a separate contract with ETEC.

The electricity generated by the new generating facility will be delivered at 138kV level, interlinking into Entergy’s Woodville – Warren 138kV transmission line near the project’s site.
