The company will supply 95 G114 2MW turbines to EDP Renovaveis (EDPR) for its Waverly wind farm in Coffey County, Kansas, US.

The deal comes under the earlier framework agreement signed by both companies for up to 450MW in the US through 2016.

Delivery is slated in the third quarter of 2015 with commissioning expected by the end of 2015.

Gamesa said the deal with EDPR represents the largest contract for its G114-2MW turbines to date.

In Mexico, Gamesa will supply 50 G97 2MW turbines to a wind farm being developed by a big utility.

The wind turbines are due for delivery in the first quarter of 2015 and commissioning by end of the same year.

Gamesa has a significant presence in Latin America and particularly in Mexico, where the company has installed 1,067MW and services 873MW.

The company has developed, constructed and commissioned close to 250MW in Mexico and it is currently building another 70MW.
