We will sign a MoU with the Orissa Government within the next two months for setting up a dozen of hydro-power generating units on different rivers,” NHPC’s Chairman-cum-Managing Director S K Garg said.
“Orissa has a lot of potential for hydro power units which would be jointly explored by NHPC and the State owned Orissa Hydro Power Corporation (OHPC),” Garg said.
The state government would provide 49% of the fund and NHPC would provide the rest.
