Chairman, Julien De Wilde said, Paul was instrumental in the formation of Nyrstar and he has led the company through its inception. Paul has also led his team in taking the difficult actions necessary to cope with the current economic downturn.

Roland started his career with Arbed in 1980 and was appointed managing director in 1996. He was named senior vice president of Aceralia in 1998 and was a member of the Arbed Group management board from 1999 until 2002, when he was appointed senior executive vice president of the newly created Arcelor.
