The company said the mine permit, aquifer exemption and radioactive material license applications are in advanced stages of technical review. Uranium Energy will then submit the initial production area authorization application.

The new permits and the earlier approved disposal well permits will enable the company to start operations at the project, which is located in South Texas.

Uranium Energy started exploration drilling on the Burke Hollow project in 2012 and discovered three mineralized trends.

The project has been extended to its existing size of about 20,000 acres. Uranium mineralization has so far been discovered in three separate mineralized horizons.

Two distinct and separate trend areas of the property resulted in an inferred mineral resource of 5.12 million pounds of uranium (U3O8) grading 0.09% U3O8.

Uranium Energy will also start a drilling program to delineate estimated extensions of earlier discovered mineralized trends which it says will continue for another four miles to the south and west of the two trend areas.

The company expects to report new drill results in the fourth quarter of this year.
