The agreement covers the supply of renewable energy from 1 July 2018 to 31 December 2019.
Managed through its electric power marketing subsidiary ACCIONA Green Energy Developments, the contract is one of the biggest won by the company in Portugal since it started operating in the country in 2015.
All the energy supplied to Vidrala will be of 100% renewable origin and will avoid the emission of around 40,000 tonnes of CO2 to the atmosphere per year during the 18-month contract period.
ACCIONA green director Santiago Gómez Ramos said: “Working with such an important client as Vidrala will allow us to grow our renewable energy marketing effort in Portugal and highlight, once more, the competitiveness of renewable energy solutions that also help to reduce he carbon footprint of the companies we supply.”
