The 257MW project in Phu Yen, Vietnam has been contracted by SEPEC which is a subsidiary of China Energy Engineering, and developed by B. GRIMM, an actively engaged multi-business energy corporation.
The project in Phu Yen is considered significant in development of the renewable energy market in Vietnam along with other Southeast Asian countries.

In October, JA Solar completed the supply of all solar modules for a large-scale solar power plant with an installed capacity of 28MW in Bangladesh. The solar plant is expected to offset carbon dioxide emissions by 20,000 tons per year when compared with the diesel power plant of the same scale.
The company had also secured a contract in August to supply its photovoltaic (PV) modules for the 404MW Puerto Libertad solar plant to be developed jointly by ACCIONA Energy and Tuto Energy in Mexico.
Scheduled to be fully operational in early 2019, the Puerto Libertad solar plant is expected to generate 963GWh of power annually, thereby helping in reducing carbon dioxide emission in local area by 925,443 metric tons.
