Under the contract, awarded by MHI Vestas Offshore, 3sun Group will provide teams of technicians for the offshore mechanical and electrical completion of the V112-3.0MW wind turbines for the project.

MHI Vestas Offshore is the joint venture company between Vestas and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.

The work off the coast of North East Yorkshire will be carried out over a 14 week period from bases at Grimsby.

MHI Vestas Offshore Wind CEO Jens Tommerup said: "We are pleased to be working together with 3sun Group and we look forward to a smooth mechanical and electrical completion of the installed turbines for the Humber Gateway project."

The Humber Gateway project is scheduled to be completed in spring 2015.

Recently, 3sun Group secured a £10m investment from Business Growth Fund, the bank-backed independent company established to help growing businesses in UK.

The Humber Gateway wind farm is located in water depths around 15m, 8km east of Spurn Point off the coast of the East Riding of Yorkshire, North Sea, England.
