The new production line has an annual capacity of 400MW and can be expanded to meet long-term growing demand for solar inverters.
ABB said that the engineering center supports the solar inverter business as well as the motors and drives factories based at the same location.
The company has also invested in a new 25kW solar plant, mounted on the roof of a building in Estonia.
ABB will use the facility mainly for testing and demonstration purposes in conjunction with the new production line.
