As per the order, the company will supply its Symphony Plus total plant automation system to monitor and control the pump stations and reservoirs located along the 360km water network.
In addition, ABB will also supply an instrumentation, control system and electrical equipment (ICE) package and a range of products, including motors and drives, switchgear, transformers and instrumentation equipment to maximize the operational efficiency of the system.
The water facility is scheduled for completion in 2014.

A joint venture comprising Consolidated Contractors Company, a Middle East-based construction firm, and Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC), and the South African construction and engineering group Wilson Bayly Holmes-Ovcon (WBHO) is executing the water project.
