The company invested in a first phase of 5MW of back-up power installed in July, followed by a second phase of 16MW which has recently been commissioned.
Gold producer ABG has four producing mines, all located in north west Tanzania and several exploration projects at various stages of development.
The company said it has the objective of increasing its existing production to one million ounces per year by 2014.
