Abu Dhabi’s International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC) and the Dominican state-owned power companies CDEEE agreed on the joint venture to construct a 600MW combined cycle natural gas plant jointly with a natural gas terminal in Pepillo Salcedo (Manzanillo), Montecristi province (northwest).
“The agreement is ready to be signed by both States and the project would start by guaranteeing new medium term generation, using cheap fuel,” said the sources.
