RSW is a 550-employee service provider to clients in key end markets, including hydro power and transmission and distribution, which Aecom says will bolster the company’s already strong portfolio of services, particularly in its global energy business.

“Welcoming RSW into the AECOM family enables us to expand the growth opportunities for both companies,” said John M. Dionisio, AECOM president and chief executive officer. “The combination of RSW’s 40-year track record of serving clients in the Canadian infrastructure and energy markets and the work of its talented staff on complex projects in more than 50 countries further strengthens AECOM’s ability to win the world’s most complex and demanding projects.”

RSW generated approximately US$45M of gross revenue in the 12 months ended November 30, 2009. AECOM expects the transaction to be accretive to cash earnings per share (EPS) in fiscal year 2011. On a GAAP basis, the transaction is expected to be neutral to EPS in fiscal year 2011.

“The opportunities that joining AECOM present to our employees and our clients are exciting,” commented Georges P. Dick, RSW president and general manager. “We are eager to leverage AECOM’s global platform to better meet the needs of our existing clients, connect with new ones and offer greater professional-development opportunities for our people.”
