The Noyem-Nyanfoman gold project license currently covers an area of approximately 28.9sqkm.

Mobilization of rigs is to commence before the end of the month and the drilling will begin in mid-February this year.

The company has planned an initial 2,000m program and further metres will be added based on a result contigent basis.

The company will drill initial holes in range from 100 to 200m in depth to test the gold mineralization which was earlier discovered by prior owners Newmont Mining Corp on the Noyem A reef on the eastern portion of the concession.

The area had a historic inferred resource of around 1.1 million ounces of gold.

New targets developed through the company’s own exploration program over the past two years in the concession will also be tested in the drilling campaign.

African Queen Mine CEO Irwin Olian said that the company is delighted to move forward with the drilling at the Noyem-Nyanfoman Project after many months of exploratory work and protracted negotiations with the local community and small scale miners.

The drilling program will be overseen by African Queen and by consulting firm Remote Exploration Services.

African Queen, under a joint venture agreement with Akan Exploration, can earn a 75% interest in the Noyem-Nyanfoman gold project by funding prescribed stages from exploration through feasibility.

African Queen is the operator of the project and holds the license on behalf of the joint venture partners.

E-Drilling Ghana and E.Global Drilling Corp are units of Energold Drilling.
