The project is aimed at extending the technical lifetime till 2040 and improves HSE factors while retaining the capacity and operational availability.
Aker will undertake work which will include engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning assistance.
The project also includes delivering enhanced technical solutions and extensive onshore testing in a considerably larger scale than previously performed.
The Snorre A drilling contract scope will be performed by the company’s drilling technologies engineering team in Kristiansand, Norway and will be concluded by its integration competence centre in Bergen.
Prefabrication will be performed at its Egersund unit.
The contract parties are Aker Solutions’ subsidiary Aker Solutions MMO and Statoil.
