Located in Coosa County, Alabama, the project covers an area of 40,000 acres and hosts crystalline flake graphite.
Results from the estimate, scheduled to begin in January 2013, will contribute towards the Preliminary Economic Assessment and future development work.
Alabama Graphite CEO Daniel Spine commented, "Based on his recent field visit, we have retained Scott Wilson and hope that his consultancy, Wilson Mining, will produce a resource estimate of sufficient size and quality in 2013 to advance to a Preliminary Economic Assessment of the Coosa Graphite Project.
Currently, the company is conducting a drill program on core hole number 28 at the project and has retained Major Drilling for drilling services.
