The well’s re-completion is targeting the upper shallow zones, and the company conducted a two stage, 5,500 barrel slick water fracture using 50,000 lbs of 20/40 mesh sand for propping up the formation.

According to the company, the operations on the well were successfully executed and the well is being swabbed in preparation for hook up to the processing and metering facilities to start production of oil and gas.

Alamo CEO Allan Millmaker said the company believes that the initial results are promising and the Goose Creek #4 well falls within Alamo’s strategy of increasing its presence in the Appalachian Basin.

Alamo is engaged in the exploration, development and production of onshore oil and gas reserves in the UK and US.
