Without an inflow the Gaborone dam, which usually contributes 56% of required water supplies to the greater Gaborone area, is currently only 38% full. Estimates suggest that this water will only last for 15 months.
WUC is reportedly running a campaign to sensitise the nation on the importance of using water cautiously entitled ‘It is your business too, to conserve water’.
