The order includes supply of air cooled heat exchangers, boilers and separators for a combined-cycle power plant for the mine.
The Alfa Laval heat exchangers will be used for engine cooling, the separators for oil treatment, and the boiler system will recover heat from the engines’ exhaust gases to produce steam for the steam turbine.
The boiler system was included in the Alfa Laval product range through the acquisition of Aalborg Industries in May 2011.
Alfa Laval Group president and CEO Lars Renstrom said the order is based on the company’s extended combined offer after the acquisition of Aalborg Industries.
"The order confirms our strengthened offer and strong position as solution provider to the power industry" added Renstrom.
