Alfa Laval said that the objective of the project is to increase the production capacity of natural gas and modernize the facility. The Swedish firm’s heat exchangers are to be used in the process where the natural gas is cleaned.

Alfa Laval said that during operation the equipment is expected to recover approximately 350MW yearly. Delivery will take place during 2008 and 2009.

Lars Renstrom, president and CEO of Alfa Laval, said: These are the first large oil and gas orders for one year and together they confirm Alfa Laval’s significant presence and leading position in the heat transfer technology. This also shows the strength of our customized products in the energy segment, as customers focus on energy efficient solutions.
