Through the direct transfer programme, Allconnect and these three utility companies, which are subsidiaries of NiSource, will help customers who are moving arrange for new household services at no charge.
Guy Asmus, senior vice president of customer engagement at NIPSCO, said: “In our effort to continuously improve the customer experience, we will now be able to provide our customers with the convenience of handling the transfer of their household services through a single call.
“We always want our customers to have an outstanding experience when they call. This program allows us to go a step further by addressing customer needs through an innovative, value-added service.”
NIPSCO estimates nearly 237,000 of its customers relocate each year, requiring necessary support to help connect new residential services. Based in Merrillville, Indiana, NIPSCO serves 1.2 million natural gas and electricity customers across the northern third of the state. NIFL and Kokomo Gas and Fuel serve another 72,000 customers combined.
Mark Miller, CEO of Allconnect, said: “We’re excited to bring our expertise to this part of the Midwest through this partnership with these three utilities. Not only are we happy to help them better serve their customers, but this strengthens Allconnect’s position as the market leader in helping consumers select, order, and manage essential household services whether they are relocating or simply accessing allconnect.com to find the best deal in their area.”
