Under the terms of the contract, the partners will provide two 78MW Francis turbine-generator sets and related equipment for the project. The scope of the contract covers the equipment’s design, engineering, manufacturing, installation, commissioning and testing. Manufactured at alstom’s new industrial facility in Tianjin, China, the first turbine unit is due for commissioning by 2014.
