The simple-cycle gas-fired plant for the North West Power Generation Co will include Alstom’s GT13E2 gas turbine and will be capable of running on both gas and diesel.
Alstom gas business senior vice president Mark Coxon said Khulna is the first application of Alstom’s GT13E2 technology in Bangladesh.
"We are committed to provide efficient and reliable power generation technology to fuel Bangladesh’s economic growth and enable continuous and sustainable supply of electricity to its growing population," Coxon said.
