Alstom informed the Bombay Stock Exchange that Alstom Projects has been awarded a contract worth INR3.73 billion by BHEL for supply of boiler components for 2x800MW supercritical coal-fired power plant at Krishnapatnam in AP.

Recently, the company has bagged an order from Infratech Lanco for building the Teesta hydro electric project in Sikkim. The scope of the order, which is worth INR2.65 billion, includes the supply of turbines and generators to produce 500MW electricity.

The company operates in the energy, transport infrastructure fields. It supplies critical electrical and industrial equipment including boilers and turbines, and pollution control equipment for power plants.
