Altairnano will provide a complete turn-key installation at Inversiones’ Talnique power station in El Salvador, including all phases of site preparation, system installation, testing and commissioning.
The ALTI-ESS uses Altairnano’s patented lithium-titanate battery chemistry for its energy storage system, which has been in commercial operation for about two years.
The complete system is expected to be operational in early 2012 with the manufacture of the battery system components to begin in the first half of 2011.
