The project will modify and extend BP’s existing Kinneil crude oil stabilization terminal.

AMEC in partnership with BP will deliver mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation services, as well as construction and project management.

The main activities of the Kinneil Terminal are stabilization of crude oil from the North Sea Forties Field and processing and treatment of natural gas liquids from the St Fergus gas terminals.

The project will begin immediately and completion is scheduled for mid-2013.

AMEC asset support operations director Dave Winskill said the company is pleased to work with BP on this strategically important project which further confirms capabilities in the mid and downstream oil and gas sector.

"Our long-term and sustained delivery, which we carry out on time, to budget and safely no matter how complex the task, has been recognized by BP in this award," added Winskill.
