Post acquisition, Quantum, which is currently serving the Portland, Oregon public schools, the state of Washington, and a number of schools, cities and towns in Washington State, will be renamed Ameresco Quantum.
Through the acquisition of Quantum, Ameresco, which has implemented billions of dollars in energy efficiency and renewable energy projects for its customers, hopes to expand its market focus in the Washington State area by offering energy performance contract services.
On the other hand, Quantum customers can benefit from Ameresco’s energy service offerings including energy supply and risk management, energy infrastructure services, renewable energy services and carbon management.
With the acquisition, Ameresco expects to consolidate its presence as an energy efficiency company in the Northwest Region by retaining Quantum’s employees and adding them to its current workforce of more than 650.
Ameresco president and CEO George Sakellaris said that the company is happy to have Quantum join the Ameresco family.
“With the additional talent and resources, we will continue to focus on delivering outstanding results and innovative, energy-saving solutions for our customers,” Sakellaris said.
