The newly acquired location is well equipped to perform the remediation and decontamination of the Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material (NORM) at the facility and will further enhance the company’s capabilities to offer NORM services.

The Bayou Vista location in the centre of the Gulf of Mexico region allows the company to easily access the gulf water and increase its business operations.

AMPOL president and CEO Kirk Headley said the new locations in Nederland, Texas, and Bayou Vista will help the company grow its business.

"This new, centrally-located waterfront location will not only provide us with an additional base of operations for our many services, but it will also greatly increase the range of NORM services we offer," Headley added.

The remediation facility also includes a five-acre dockside to load and unload boats apart from a large loading and unloading zone for trucks.
