The approval of the Prospecting Permit No. X2011335 authorizes the company to carry out the first phase of its planned drilling program.

American Power CEO Al Valencia said the permit allows the company to begin its prospecting program on 13 drill sites throughout the Pace Coal project area.

American Power’s planned exploration drilling program consists of 61 drilling sites and will involve a total of 53,875ft of drilling in three different phases.

The first phase of the program consists of a total of 13 drilling locations, while the second and third phases consist of a total of nine and 39 locations, respectively.

The company said it expects to apply for an amendment to its approved prospecting permit to cover additional locations on subsequent drilling phases.
