Under the contract, the company will supply electromechanical equipment for the Santa Teresa hydropower station.

The new underground power house with a water head of 188m will utilize the tailwater from the Machu Picchu hydropower station nearby in the Urubamba valley of the Cusco region and will have a total output of 98.5MW.

Scope of supply includes design engineering, delivery, installation, and commissioning of two Francis turbines, governors, generators, as well as protection and control systems.

Commissioning is scheduled for mid-2014.
