Apex CoVantage said it will address several issues in India which include meter reading services, power theft, meter tampering and inaccurate data reporting.
The company will implement AMR/AMI technology using its ProField deployment software and work with hardware manufacturers and local energy firms to provide enhanced meter-reading services.
Apex CoVantage global operations vice president Sangeet Dutta said the company will assist the Indian utilities in their initiatives to improve service reliability and enhance existing infrastructure.
"Our team is dedicated to improving the country’s operational efficiency and the use of ProField will certainly accelerate this effort," Dutta added.
Apex’s Smart Grid Solutions division works with global utilities and AMI firms to address their issues.
