Introduced first in 2012, the APR Energy’s innovation can significantly reduce installation time for mobile power plants by up to 50%.

In addition to reducing installation time, the cost-effective portable power plant design uses plug-and-play modular system, scalable in 6MW blocks.

The company is also seeking patent for its 40ft transformer substation container design by the end of October.

The transformer substation container enables it to match the majority of the global 50Hz and 60Hz utility distribution voltages.

Scalable to more than 400MW, the dual innovations by APR Energy have helped reduce construction time for power facilities having capacity of 50MW or above.

Since 2012, the company has been using the systems in seven of its plant installations including a 120MW power plant in Cyprus and a 32MW facility in Oman.

APR Energy executive chairman John Campion said: "The patents we have been awarded are the result of a tremendous amount of work and knowledge gained through years of experience mobilizing over 2,500 megawatts of fast-track power to more than 25 countries around the world."
