The SFWMD is responsible for water supply and quality, flood control, and natural resources protection throughout 16 counties that encompass 18,000 square miles in the central and southern regions of Florida. The SFWMD operates and maintains approximately 2,000 miles of canals and levees, 60 pumping stations, and 500 major water control structures.

The work ARCADIS is doing for the SFWMD enhances both man-made and natural environments, creates exceptional value for ARCADIS clients, opportunities for our staff, and benefits the South Florida community and its thousands of visitors not only today, but far into the future, said Bill Lynch, ARCADIS principal-in-charge.

The entire ARCADIS team is very excited to exercise our talents and resources on this project, said Tony Michuda, ARCADIS project manager. And, having the opportunity to be on-site every day with the client is energizing. You feel their urgency and share in their accomplishments. It’s very rewarding.
