The agreement will allow Areva to jointly identify with Kepco the commercial opportunities in several renewable energy fields like offshore wind, energy storage, concentrated solar power and biomass.

Both companies will focus their cooperation on the region of Southeast Asia.

Areva Renewables CEO Louis-Francois Durret said that the company welcomes this new agreement with Kepco, a client and historic partner of our group.

"This alliance confirms Areva’s ambitions in renewables," Durret added.

Currently, Areva has over 2.5GW of bioenergy installed and it is now installing 300MW in concentrated solar power and 600MW of offshore wind farm.
