Energoatom will receive the first batches of uranium this year.
The deal was signed by Energoatom president Yuriy Nedashkovsky and Areva mining and frontend senior executive vice-president Olivier Wantz.
Nedashkovsky said: "Today we signed a contract that extends cooperation with French company Areva that is one of the world leaders in the field of nuclear technologies.
"This contract is a real step towards diversification of nuclear materials supply to Ukrainian NPPs."
The two companies have collaborated since 2011 on developing a road map on used fuel and radioactive waste management (including storage, transportation and reprocessing).
