The WRF includes a bio-scrubber for the headworks and the preceding diversion box.

The City planned to refurbish the existing bio-scrubber and couple the existing technology with the Parkson OHxyPhogg in-situ, chemical-free fogging system and the OHxyPhogg was installed at the diversion box, where it treats the odors entering the facility.

The City found the H2S levels were reduced significantly with the installation of OHxyPhogg, which is expected to increase the service life of the bio-scrubber media thus reducing the operating costs.

In conjunction with carbon or bio-scrubbers, OHxyPhogg systems are expected to save electricity costs and improve the overall effectiveness of the odor control system.
