The Arrow Bowen Pipeline is a buried high-pressure steel pipeline designed to transport coal seam gas from the Bowen Basin to a gas hub 22km west of Gladstone, where it will join the proposed Arrow Surat Pipeline.

Arrow CEO Andrew Faulkner said the environmental approval follows an environmental impact statement (EIS) permit from the Queensland Government for Arrow’s Bowen Basin gas field project in September.

Faulkner said: "The proposed pipeline is a key piece of infrastructure in our plans to bring to market our significant gas reserves in the Bowen Basin."

The Arrow Energy Bowen gas project comprises developing Arrow’s tenements near its existing gas fields with staged expansion of about of approximately 4000 gas wells and gas infrastructure in an 8000km2 area.

The Bowen gas project lies adjacent to the existing Moranbah Gas Project, which is considered as one of the largest CSG fields in Australia.
