Following the completion of the tests, the steam generator will be deployed at South Korean nuclear power facilities.
The tests were performed in the period of 2005-2009 at the specially designed test bench. In total, the unit passed 100 test modes for thermohydraulic properties in steady-state operating conditions and 1,750 thermal cycling tests. Test data were collected, processed and displayed in real time. The test routine included thermohydraulic analysis and thermal cycling tests within the range of the steam generator’s rated parameters. All experiments were personally monitored by representatives of the steam generator manufacturer – DOOSAN Heavy Industry.
