Located in 3,454ft of water, the GC 300 #2 well was sidetracked and encountered a gas reservoir between 15,590ft and 15,721ft total vertical depth in 2006.
ATP plans to commence well operations with the Diamond Ocean Victory rig in 2011.
The company operates the Green Canyon block with a 55% working interest.
