The two companies will look to combine the all-fuel Cyclone engine with the Aura’s AuraGen induction motor and control unit to provide a turn-key solution that customers employ to produce grid-tied or stand-alone electricity from renewable and waste resources.
Cyclone’s engine’s use convert recovered exhaust heat from industrial furnaces, biomass gasifiers and other waste sources into mechanical power while the AuraGen units produce consistent rated power, at a wide range of engine speeds.
Cyclone president Christopher Nelson said that the collaboration with Aura Systems is a vital part of the company’s growth strategy.
"Aura has the generator technology, engineering team, production capabilities and resources to provide the electrical solution from start to finish," said Nelson.
Aura chairman and CEO Melvin Gagerman termed the partnership an attractive collaboration to further its product lines.
