The value of the contract is estimated to be Rs7.74bn ($157.9m).
Under the terms of the contract, the company will manufacture and supply of 6 numbers state-of-the-art 2000 HP onshore drilling rigs with AC drives.
The mechanical equipment will be manufactured at the company’s plant in Hyderabad, India while the electrics will be manufactured by the company’s Bhopal plant in Madhya Pradesh.
Bharat Heavy Electricals is the manufacturer of onland drilling rigs.
