The gas turbine-based captive power plant would be constructed with a capacity of 20MW. The contract is worth approximately INR1,900m and the plant would be constructed on Lumpsum Turnkey (LSTK) basis at Duliajan in Assam.

The company’s scope of work in the project includes design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection and commissioning of the captive power plant, in addition to civil works.

The equipment required for the project would be supplied by BHEL’s plants at Hyderabad, Bhopal, Jhansi and Electronics Division, Bangalore. Erection and commissioning of the captive power plant would be carried out by BHEL’s Power Sector – Eastern Region, Kolkata.
