Black Range Minerals has completed its drilling programme at the Hansen and Picnic Tree uranium deposits in Colorado, US.

The firm has drilled a total of eight diamond core holes at the Hansen deposit for 1,741m and three diamond core holes for 170m at the Picnic Tree deposit.

The holes were drilled to obtain additional geological, geotechnical, metallurgical and hydrological data, which will be used to update the previous feasibility undertaken in 1980s.

Drilling at Picnic Tree deposit has intersected high-grade mineralization, which include 6.1m at 0.203% eU3O8 and 4.3m at 0.277% eU3O8.

Currently, the firm is collecting representative ore samples from both the Hansen and Picnic Tree deposits and will send them to suitable laboratories for metallurgical test work.

The firm has also commenced mine design work for both deposits, which will be a integral part in determining the optimal development path for the project.
