Located at the town of Napanee in Ontario, Canada, the 8.5MWAC Little Creek is the first facility of four planned solar projects that has been acquired from Canadian Solar.

BluEarth plans to acquire Canadian Solar’s three more utility-scale solar power plants with a total capacity of 30.5MW, located in Kawartha Lakes, Belleville and Beaverton of Ontario.

These projects are scheduled to enter into operations in the second quarter of 2015.

Canadian Solar chairman and CEO Shawn Qu said the company has completed the sale and transfer of the first of four solar projects to BluEarth Renewables.

"This is an important group of projects as it helps move BluEarth closer to its goal of having C$1 billion of high-quality, long-term contracted renewable energy plants," added Qu.
