The $55.3m long term financing for the 22MW Jamie Creek hydroelectric power station, located in British Columbia, has been provided by Canada Life Assurance and Great West Life Assurance.

This hydroelectric project is currently under the construction phase and is expected to become operational in the first quarter of 2014.

The $19m long-term financing for the 8MW Vron wind farm, located in France, has been provided by a German bank SAAR. The wind power project will become operational in September 2013.

Électricité de France is expected to purchase the clean electricity generated at the wind power project, under a 15-year long term contract.

Boralex president and CEO Patrick Lemaire said, "The closing of these two financing arrangements is further recognition of the quality of the projects we develop and the capital market’s trust in Boralex to successfully complete the construction of both hydroelectric and wind power assets."
