“Around 96% work of the refinery is complete while the remaining is expected to be done within three or four months following which production will start from April next year,” sources said.

“The remaining work in the Refinery, relates to development of a 99 MW Captive Congregation Power Plant (CCPP) in the refinery, for which reactors imported from China have already reached Kandla Port in Gujarat and are expected to reach the project site in a couple of days”, they said.

After the completion of installation of these reactors, the preparations for production of petroleum products on experimental basis would commence in the refinery, the sources said.
