Of the total funds, BRL299.3m ($147m) was approved for Faisa project planned in northeastern state of Ceara. It comprises five wind projects with energy production capacity of 136.5MW.

Further, BRL125.4m ($61.4m) is to be invested in three wind projects being developed by Spanish company Gestamp and BRL54m ($26.4m) for Eolica Pedra do Reino, reported Bloomberg.

According to the company, the investment process will be undertaken by Fundo de Desenvolvimento do Nordeste.
