Siemens will purchase 36 wind towers for the power project and has signed an option for an additional 25 towers.
The wind towers are expected to be delivered to Siemens during the second and third quarters of 2012.
Broadwind said it will produce the towers for Siemens in its Manitowoc, Wisconsin facility.
Broadwind Towers president Paul Smith said this is Broadwind’s first tower order from Siemens and it fits well with the company’s strategy of diversifying its customer base.
