Sumitomo is responsible for the construction of the 688MW power plant, with an investment of approximately $800m, for Power Generation Corporation 1, a power subsidiary of Vietnam’s state-run utility Vietnam Electricity.

Located in the Duyen Hai district, Tra Vinh province, Vietnam, the Duyen Hai 3 coal-fired thermal power station expansion project is scheduled to be completed by 2018.
